ABOUT ME!

Deon grew up in Salamanca, NY, a small and wonderfully charming place located in the heart of the Allegany Reservation. Population 5,497. He started performing at a very early age, usually emulating Tina Turner or Rita Repulsa from Power Rangers. Once he honed his craft a little more, he went to the University at Buffalo where he trained for a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA in Dance. Since then, he’s been living in NYC, and performing regionally across the country as well as on the high seas as Lonny Barnett in Rock of Ages for Norwegian Cruise Lines. He was also featured on the Season 2 finale of POSE on FX playing the sassy gay troublemaker. More recently, he’s been conceptualizing/writing various projects for television that deal with underrepresented communities, including The Tea, an LGBTQ+ panel talk show, and Reservation for One, a dramedy about a modern Native family living on the reservation. He plans to run for President, and his SAT score is 1080. Proud AEA member.
